Samosa

ICON Clothing Karachi launched their Pre-Fall 2015 Collection in Lahore

Karachi: October 5, 2015]: The ICON Clothing Karachi Pre-Fall 2015 Collection Trunk Show was showcased recently at Labels Lahore. The exhibition was a major success with a complete sold out.

The Trunk Show was attended by some famous faces from the entertainment & fashion industry including Sabeeka Imam, Aamna Illyas, Hadiqa Kiani, Anam Malik, Ehtisham Ansari, Alee Hasan to name a few.

The entire new collection featured with Pre-Fall specifics striped button down tunics in shades of pastel. The fabrics used were solid color cottons, cotton prints, Chikan / Broderie cotton and linen incorporated with western cuts like shirts dresses and tunics. The collection is on trend globally but has a special focus on using fabrics fit for the local climate. Pants were seen in textured linen along with cigarette pants that matched perfectly with the wide range of tunics and shirts.

Hira Tareen, the Creative Director for ICON Clothing Karachi was very over whelmed with the response of the exhibition “The exhibition was a success and it was a complete sold out. I am very glad and appreciate the love and support from the people who came on this big day.”

Iconic Film Scene Locations

1. Bin Roye

Bin Roye was mainly filmed in Karachi, but a few scenes were shot in Santa Barbara, California. The actors shot live scenes in the Aman House, which is known to be a haunted historical site of Karachi!

2. Waar
Waar took three years to film, and was shot in various parts of Pakistan. Locations for the filming included Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi and Swat Valley. A few scenes were also produced in Istanbul, Turkey and Rome, Italy.

3. Karachi Se Lahore
This is the first Pakistani road trip film, shot in real time! The film covers the 36-hour journey from Karachi to Lahore, including places in Balochistan such as Kund Malir!

4. Jawani Phir Nahi Ani
The film was mainly shot in various parts of Thailand, including Bangkok and the Coral Islands. A few clips were shot in Karachi also!

5. Na Maloom Afraad
Filmed in Karachi, around the Saddar Town. The Saddar scenes involved an actual strike in the town, so the production had to be closed for a shooting.

Amir and Afridi’s 4G TVC Becomes a BIG success

Boxer Amir “King” Khan and Pakistan National T20 captain Shahid Afridi recently featured together in a commercial for Warid Telecom’s new Double Faida Campaign. Following excellent feedback from audience, who enjoyed and appreciated the commercial, the campaign took off with great success. Promoting Warid’s “Lightning Tez Internet”, 4G LTE, the two Warid brand ambassadors featured together for the first time in a tv commercial. The Double Faida Offer grants access to free internet at blazing speed from 1 am to 9 pm, along with double the volume of mobile data on selected LTE bundles at their original price.

In another digital promotion for the campaign, a young fan while taking an autograph from Shahid Afridi, asked him the difference between 2G, 3G, and LTE. Afridi responded with an interesting analogy. He compared 2G internet to a test cricket match, where players play all day, without any result. 3G is more like a one-day match, while Warid LTE is like a T20 match and like Afridi’s signature “Boom Boom” batting style: aggressive and fast. Prior to this, Afridi (as a Warid brand ambassador) also performed in Warid’s 4G launch campaign earlier this year.
