Fruits - A Sweet and Sour Offering of Pakistan







Pakistan which is located in the Southern part of the Asian continent is renowned for its enchanting beauty which Mother Earth has bestowed upon it. However, with its mighty mountains and ever running river streams, scenic views are not only what this South Asian country is famous for.

Mother Earth has bestowed Pakistan in terms of agriculture as well. The offerings of the hard work done by the farmers in the limitless fields, under the scorching sun, pays off in the form
of the sweet and sour flavors of the delicious fruits which are renowned all over the world for their taste. These fruits vary according to the weather conditions of the country and so in every season you can see different types of fruits in the marketplaces.

     Mangoes
Considered to be one of the most popular fruit in the world, mangoes are a rich source of vitamin A & C. Mostly grown in Asian, they are called the King of the fruits.      Watermelon

     Peach
Belonging to the same family as that of the apricots, peaches are widely available all over the country. Beneficial for the immune system, peach has a beautiful color, with a mixture of different hues of orange and pink. They are a traditional crop of Northern areas of Pakistan and are high in demand because of their distinct aroma and delicious sweet and sour flavor.

     Strawberry
Appreciated for its characteristic aroma, bright red color, sweetness and juicy texture, strawberries are used to make smoothies, flavored milk, fruit juices, jams and jellies among other things. They are a rich source of protein, carbohydrates, fats and vitamins. Strawberries are cultivated in most of the Northern part of Pakistan. The strawberries cultivated in Swat and Kalam are the most famous.
