About the Mansehra district

Mansehra is a city in the Mansehra district that belongs to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is the second largest city in the province. The word Mansehra is actually a Hindi word “MahaanSehra” which means ‘flowers in abundance’. The district and town is named after Man Singh, a leading general of Mughal Emperor Akbar. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Pakistan and is known as Paradise on Earth with some of the best nature’s gifts.

Mansehra is another historic city that dates back to primitive times and was ruled by Buddhists and Hindus before Islam spread in the city. Ashoka Rocks

Tourists trek for 5 hours and reach the top of the mountain, Makra peak. The visitors can enjoy the charming views of the Kaghan Valley on one side and enthralling Kashmir on another from the top.
