Lahore,
January 2016: Careem, MENA region’s locally founded app-based car booking
service, served as the official transport partner for LUMS Sports Fest 2016,
annual sports competition of LUMS, between 3rd and 6th of
January 2016. They also partnered with Forman Christian College over FORMUN’16,
annual MUN of FC College, from the 6th to 9th of January
2016serving as their official transportation partner.
LUMS
Sports Fest is the university’s annual sports competition with over 1000
delegates from around the country coming to participate in various sporting
events. This year, there was a four day fest where, aside from the actual sports,
there was a ceremony to officially open the tournament, a concert featuring RDB
and a closing ceremony.Careem provided all out of town delegates and members of
the Sports Fest hassle free transport from their points of arrival in Lahore to
LUMS at an exclusive flat rate of Rs.220, and at no charge for new Careem
users.
FORMUN,
a four day MUN event consisted of a fashion show, DJ night, Qawali night and
the closing ceremony where Careem gave free rides to new signups and Flat
Rs.250 rate for existing users exclusively for all delegates and members posted
outstation and from Lahore.
Apart
from discounted rides for both the events and special promotions, the company also
sponsored a fun picture booth and a few game prizes for theFORMUN and LUMS
Sports Fest delegates.
