ACCA and LGS DIDP signs MoU

Lahore, 10th February 2016: ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and LGS

Defence International Degree Programme (LGS DIDP) which is a sister concern of Lahore

Grammar School Defence, Lahore signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work

towards the advancement of the finance profession in Pakistan. This arrangement would provide

an opportunity for individuals of ability to pursue a globally relevant qualification to enhance

their future career prospects and will ultimately develop the accounting profession in Pakistan.

 LGS Defence International Degree Programme (LGS DIDP) has established itself as a leading

institute providing world class education and an environment that grooms and polishes every

individual. The main feature of this MoU involves supporting LGS Defence International Degree

Programme (LGS DIDP) in offering the tuition of ACCA Qualifications as an ACCA Approved

Learning Partner through a phased approach. The tuition will be offered at LGS Defence

International Degree Programme (LGS DIDP) campus situated in Phase V first, followed by

other campuses in the cluster i-e Islamabad, Quetta and Gujrat.

 The MoU also involves facilitating a route for students studying towards the University of

London International Programmes being offered at the LGS Defence International Degree

Programme (LGS DIDP) to study the ACCA Qualification, including exemptions from up to

ACCA papers F1 to F9 in line in with ACCA global accreditation policy.

 Sajjeed Aslam, Head of ACCA Pakistan, highlighted at the ceremony, ‘The LGS brand is

satisfied that this brand will now be associated with ACCA and will be contributing substantially

in developing the finance talent Pakistan needs.”

 Also present at the signing ceremony was Dr Neelam Hussain, Rector LGS Defence

International Degree Programme (LGS DIDP) and Director Lahore Grammar School Defence

who stated, “ACCA is known for developing finance professionals who are truly global and it is

a matter of great pride for us to be collaborating with one of the leading accounting bodies in the

world.”
